Seafloor/Continental drift blog

Identify 4 evidences the helped prove the continents where moving and explain each one.
Continental Drift explain it:
Continental drift is the movement of continents moving relative to each other
1.   Glacial Structures:  Glacial structures support this too because rock have been studied and they have light and really deep scratches and these have been supported with the idea that glaciers went over them.
2.   Geological: Geological clues support this because plate tectonics move around Earth.
3.    Mountain Ranges: Because part of the Appalachian Mountains are in Asia and part are in the Easters part of the United States.
4.    Fossil: Fossils of the Mesosasaurus have been found in different continents that are far away from each other.

Seafloor Spreading-Explain it.

Formation of areas of oceanic crust. That involve hot magma erupting out of the ocean floor and then cooling down which cause the magma to crack when it cools down.

Identify 2 evidences that helped prove the sea floor was growing and explain each one.

1.  Age- When the magma starts getting older newer magma starts forming and the old magma pushes the newer one away.

2. Plate Tectonics- plate tectonics are evidence because as they slowly move away from each other beneath the ocean floor, hot magma from the Earth’s mantle bubbles to the surface.
