Continental drift is the movement of continents moving relative to each other
Identify 4 evidences the helped prove the continents where moving and explain each one.
1. Fossils- All of the organisms were together then separated
2. Glaciers-They left glacial striations where?
3. Oil and Coal- Separated; then started in the same spot. How are these proof?
4. Rock Formation- Geological structures
Seafloor Spreading-Explain it.
The formatation of new areas of oceanic crust, which occurs through the upwelling of magma at midocean rides and its subsequent outward movement on either side.
Identify 2 evidences that helped prove the sea floor was growing and explain each one.
1. Age- When the magma starts getting older newer magma starts forming and the old magma pushes the newer one away.
2. Plate Tectonics- plate tectonics are evidence because as they slowly move away from each other beneath the ocean floor, hot magma from the Earth’s mantle bubbles to the surface. This is true but it is not a proof. What is the 2nd proof?
You words are really small but you decribed very well and I don't think you have any mistakes that I can see so that is a very nice job.
